Business Intelligence Center site template missing: SharePoint 2010

After spending allot of time understanding the Performance Point Service and its functions as per the links given in my previous article, I thought of giving it a try by creating a new Business Intelligence Center site for myself.

When I tried to create a new BIC Site, I found no template with such name in create site option.

No big surpriseJ, I got to know, this is something with in the SharePoint as nothing comes up all in one package with SharePoint. You have to ask for it to SharePoint or else you should know where it is available.

Below is the list of features, which needs to be enabled at the site and site collection level to have Business Intelligence Center Template available in the list of site templates.

·         Site Settings | Site Actions | Site Collection Administration | Site Collection Features | Activate SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure

·         Site Settings | Site Actions | Site Collection Administration | Site Collection Features | Activate PerformancePoint Services Site collection features

·         Site Settings | Site Actions | Site Collection Administration | Site Collection Features | Activate PerformancePoint Services Site Features
